Open Source Information
For the 20th anniversary edition, Wisdom Tree has given me the opportunity to use the ECWolf source port to bring the game to modern platforms. The version of the engine that is included is slightly modified to improve the presentation of the game slightly in addition to providing integration with Steam. As a customer this means that updates will be delivered to you simultaneously (or at least within a short period of time) of ECWolf releases for as long as the project remains active (and I have no intentions of quitting).

The source code is available as a Mercurial repository on Bitbucket: https://bitbucket.org/ecwolf/super-3d-noahs-ark

Update 2015/8/28: A reconstructed version of the original DOS source code is available from NY00123: https://bitbucket.org/NY00123/gamesrc-ver-recreation/overview

Didn't expect this to pop up anywhere.
Damn, Wisdom tree still around?
Also didn't expect this to be re-released ANYWHERE, but hell, I will instantly buy this when it's available!

Funny thing is, this game is freeware, and can easily just be moved onto the ecwolf port for free.

Of course, if i'm incorrect and this game CANNOT be put into ecwolf easily, then I apologise.

The game is not freeware. Yes you can import the data into ECWolf easily, but the game data still needs to be purchased.

Dear Blzut3, I lower my hat for the passion you show. Why are you responding to so many comments, even the trolls? There is so much crap on steam, yet a game almost no one ever played and only knows through the avgn video, gets so much hate and missunderstanding. It's an obscure one yes, but also a part of video game history and it plays like doom so what's wrong with that :-D. I find it really funny that you have to explain to people that downloading a game is against copyright, even if the game just popped up on steam they still think the emulator version is free X-D. You got to be either the most passionate, or the most mature devloper we have on the Indi market :-D. I wish you many sales.

So, Wisdom Tree contacted you to make updates to ECWolf for S3DNA and they rerelease the game with it.
Yet id software still throws games like Wolf3D out on Dosbox?
I can't help but feel that should it be the other way around.
Regardless I'm excited for the Steam release.

I'm not able to identify under which license did you released the source code. Maybe GPL, as id Software?
Blzut3  [developer] Jan 27, 2016 @ 7:39pm
It is GPL.
