Game won't start

Windows message about game no longer working when starting the game up.

Just did a fresh install, wishing to experience this game once again.

Nothing.

Cannot play.

Please fix,

Dang it. Figured I play a bit in anticipation of 2, forgot about this problem, but I have STILL this issue.

Black screen on startup which then crashes.

I have tried this to run the Game.

I have managed the Problem to get the Courser useable. It´s comming up when you try to play it with Windows 10.

To solve the Problem you have to do the following Steps:

1. Steam -> Steamapps -> common -> UFO Extraterestials Gold
2. In UFO Extraterestials Gold you Search the File UFO_ET and the other Exe-File (name forgotten) with the same Picture.
3. Open the file with the right Mouse Button
4. Open the file Propertys or is called in englisch Windows
5. Here you look for the folder Compatibility
6. Hook Compatibility Mode and take Windows 7!!!!
7. Hook here too Fullscreenmode Optimise deactivate!!!!
8. Open change DPI-Adjustements, make an Hook at DPI-Scaling overrite and choose application as well as an Hook in the other DPI-Thing
9. Overtake it or what it called in Englisch Windows and Push OK

That you do on both Datas (for Secure).

Then Start the Game in Steam or on Desktoplink. Now the Courser works as good as normal in UFO ET on Win 10 64.

The same you have to do, if you have the CD / DVD-Version. Testet it on both Variants.

Sadly there is no Patch or so to bring the Courser better to work atm, but maybe the Devs will upgrade the good old UFO ET to UFO2ET-Standard.

That´s for the Mouse Problem. But to run the Game the Points 1 to 9 are a must have.

It didn't solve it :( I'm really sad actually. I really wanted to play this again.

Then you have to use an second Solution in the direct down Announcement „Mouse Problems“.

There is a link, which helps. With both Solutions I and all others can play UFO ET / ET Gold.

The Game is programmed for Win XP / 7 and 8. I have already remembered the Devs to Refit UFO ET for new Systems.
