The bonus you get when respecting the turn limit depends on how many turns are missing, and the total number of turns, it is variable. Short missions completed early can give you good bonus (even 20%), long missions aren't generally worth rushing especially if you're already near the turn limit. A 2% bonus isn't much, instead if you recruit at least 6 templars you gain 100+ XP for templars that would have got nothing, plus the XP from secondary objectives that are good for everybody.
Also, in many missions it isn't clear what will trigger exactly the end, so unless you know exactly how much time you have left and what you need to do, you risk to rush the mission for nothing, my advice is to take your time in every mission at least in your first playthrough, then you see which missions are worth rushing and which aren't (most aren't in my opinion). And try to have at least 6 templars at the end of each missions, so that all of your core squad gets the experience, it's always better than a tiny bonus.
