Can't quick save?

f5 for quicksaving the game doesn't seem to work as the save won't appear in my save files. This means I can only save at the beginning of each cycle, which is really not good. I've tried rebinding the key but that doesn't seem to fix the issue. If anybody else experiences this, I could use some help. Thanks.

You can save manually at any point when you're on the map if you double click new save or whatever it says exactly in the menu.
