Why are pre-orders still available on Itch.io for $15? The comments on Itch are disabled as well, and there is no indication on the page to warn people of the current state of development, and there is even a demo from 2017. Having a game fail to materialize due to an artist screwing you over is one thing, but what's being done on Itch is inexcusable....
