demo feedback

It's promising, but I'm not a fan of how your sword beams get blocked by every projectile. Worse, the game doesn't communicate this happening well since the beam graphic slowly fades out even though its collision is gone instantly (I kept wondering why the fade-out happened at different times). It makes the boss a difficulty spike since you need to be far away to avoid the mess of bullets being shot at you from different angles, but you need to be close by to actually reach the boss with your attacks. Hey everyone!

Thanks so much for all the feedback for the demo—it’s been super helpful! Based on your input, I’ve made some exciting updates to shake up the combat and bring a bit more flair and challenge to the game.

🔥 What’s New:

Ranged Sword Attack: The sword now gains a ranged attack after collecting a new powerup!
Bullet Hell Combat: Combat has been reworked to feel more like a bullet hell
New Cursor Support: A cursor has been added to the main menu and options menu
New Puzzle: A small gate puzzle has been added to mix things up a bit.

Steam Overlay Crashed my Computer

I was enjoying this and then at one point I went to open the Steam Overlay and the game froze. I tried to alt tab to end the process via task manager and then both monitors went black and my computer became completely unresponsive with the game's music still playing. No keystrokes worked for any sort of recovery so I had to hard power off my computer. Unsure if this is easily replicable, but I'm just gonna avoid doing it for now. Just a little demo feedback

Glad to see you're on this project after Super Roboy ! I played the demo a little and can't help making a suggestion : it would be much better to be able to face a direction while walking in another (by holding down a button for instance). It really improves the playing experience for this type of game....

Demo two problems

for now i downloaded this and i can't scroll to change my resolution 2560x1440, when i scroll to middle it goes to down end, everytime. second, in keybind settings, it was stuck, nothing worked. no keyboard, only mouse but couldn't click anything. had to force stop game....

Great demo

The demo was short but sweet! The Xbox controls were smooth and the wacky humor is fun. As I read on Reddit the game will be short, 2-4 hours but I thoroughly hope it will end up being longer. Super Roboy is easily in my top 5 of best MV and Grumpy Jack will be a day one purchase for me....
