Wont Launch/Cant play

This game will not launch and start i cant reach any menu. i launch the game and it initializes the launch it brings up the Assassins Creed syndicate Logo and then shuts down completely. i have multiple AC games that i play and launch perfectly fine. Ive done all the things the forum says to check that may interfere and nothing is working. Does anyone have an answer???

Just to double-check, are you still encountering this issue? If yes, since you have mentioned that the other AC titles you own launch with no issues, would you mind trying the following to see if this may get you a different result:

1. Delete the Download Cache on Steam. That can help with certain issues.

2. Restart your PC and login to Steam. Once logged in, try to repair your storage folder as this can also help to resolve certain issues with game files that are damaged, missing or corrupted. On the Steam client, click on Settings >> Storage >> click on the 3 dots on the top right >> Repair Folder

Should the issue persists after these steps, to avoid providing you multiple steps, could you also list the steps you have already tried so we can look into this further for you.

HI, AC syndicate doesn't seem to be launching at all for me. After a few seconds i click launch nothing happens, game doesn't launch nor any error messages pop up. I have attempted the above solutions, even uninstalling and re-downloading in case there was an issue in the download yet the issue persists. I am able to play newer AC games such as Origins and Odyssey no problem but Syndicate just does nothing. i did a bit of research and found something about loading the game under a compatibility mode but there doesn't seem to be an option for me to do that on ubisoft connect or steam. Any other pointers would be appreciated

appreciate your post on here and sorry that you have also been experiencing this issue.

You can try and launch the game in Compatibility mode. We have an article on how you can set it up (depending whether you are using Windows 10 or Windows 11)

Have you tried installing it on the same drive where Windows is installed? I had to move it from my SSD to my C drive to get it to start properly.
