Assassin's Creed Syndicate won't launch
I purchased the game back in 2021 and am just launching it for the first time on my pc. I am able to play AC Odyssey just fine, no issues in launching the game. AC Syndicate though will not launch. It will show running for about 2 to 3 seconds before just showing the play button on Steam. I've already verified the game files and uninstalled/reinstalled the game, nothing seems to work.

Edit:: I somehow figured out a way to play Assassin's Creed Syndicate. I had to be signed into Ubisoft Connect and have it launched, then installed AC Syndicate. For some reason, that worked. Ubisoft Connect said that it added the items to my account when I launched AC Syndicate for the first time and was able to play the game with no issues

So I tried to install this on my windows PC and it says the ubisoft service is not currently available. No idea why but getting this on my steam deck too. I have just got the game two days ago and haven't been able to play it yet because of this Service not currently available message

Can you please provide us with your full PC specs, so we can have a look? Secondly, can you please try the troubleshooting steps {LINK REMOVED}? It will help to eliminate any potential software conflicts.

@Mike - sorry to hear that you are unable to log in. Can you please confirm if you downloaded the latest version of {LINK REMOVED} If so, can you please perform all of the troubleshooting steps listed in {LINK REMOVED}

The game keeps launching with uPlay. Is there no way to just remove uPlay from your steam download and update it with Ubisoft Connect? Why do you still have uPlay for this game on steam if you know it doesn’t work? Thank you
same issue. tried launching though the Ubisoft connect?
fails to start.
Oddsey works fine.
hmm should prolly re-install ... French one to see if that works but odds point to no.

Sorry to hear you're having issues launching your game.

Mike I've replied to your separate thread with the Connect issue already, please be sure to check this when you find the time.

Please note that you should not be able to start the game through the Ubisoft Connect launcher itself, and only via Steam (even if the game appears in the Connect library).

To try and help with this issue, could you both please ensure that you try out the steps from the PC technical support article [www.ubisoft.com] to see if this helps at all?

Additionally, I'd recommend reinstalling the Ubisoft Connect launcher [www.ubisoft.com] and the game with admin rights [www.ubisoft.com].

Have you tried running the game in compatibility mode [www.ubisoft.com]? If not, I would also try that in case it helps.

If the issue continues thereafter, you will need to open a support ticket via email [www.ubisoft.com], and please attach a MsInfo and DxDiag
report here, so the support team can take a closer look.

(Feel free to mention all the troubleshooting steps you have already tried as well so that these aren't suggested to you again).

I posted this elsewhere but try closing Ubisoft Connect completely and then launching the game from Steam. By close I mean exit the application. Let steam open ubisoft connect when it tries to launch the game.

I had this same issue and it seems like the activation of the game doesn't trigger if you have ubisoft connect open already. So stupid. If you let the steam open ubisoft connect it'll register the game and then launch properly after that.

I cant play the game and U play registration keeps popping i guess i guess its a loss
