Thank you for posting here regarding these issues with your controls.
There may be a few reasons why your controls aren't being registered correctly. Could you confirm for us if the controller is an offical xbox 360 model? This might cause software conflict if the controller uses 3rd party software to work.
Have you been able to test any other input methods at all?

Now you've mentioned it I doubt my pad is an official xbox 360 pad as it has no certification label on the underside, never occured to me that might be the problem as it works fine with AC Unity and AC Black Flag.
I have no other pads and i find the kb/m controls too difficult so i will purchase an official xbox controller unless you have any other suggestions.

Other controllers may work but are not officially supported. I could only recommend checking that you have the latest drivers installed for your current controller and ensure that you have no other USB devices plugged in other than your mouse and keyboard.
