control issues

Bought AC Syndicate on PC a few months ago along with Black Flag, Unity, Origins and Odyssey.
All was fine at first then realised occasionally controls wouldnt work, the odd button or rotating the camera and sometimes the camera would rotate on its own or the character would run round in circles on not stop running for a while after i tried to stop running, its especially annoying during combat.
Have had this problem with Origins and Odyssey after id started and gone back on the game at a later time.
Has anyone had this problem and has any advice??

note: using an xbox 360 controller(cabled) and have not had this issue with Black Flag or Unity

Thank you for posting here regarding these issues with your controls.

There may be a few reasons why your controls aren't being registered correctly. Could you confirm for us if the controller is an offical xbox 360 model? This might cause software conflict if the controller uses 3rd party software to work.

Have you been able to test any other input methods at all?

Now you've mentioned it I doubt my pad is an official xbox 360 pad as it has no certification label on the underside, never occured to me that might be the problem as it works fine with AC Unity and AC Black Flag.
I have no other pads and i find the kb/m controls too difficult so i will purchase an official xbox controller unless you have any other suggestions.

Other controllers may work but are not officially supported. I could only recommend checking that you have the latest drivers installed for your current controller and ensure that you have no other USB devices plugged in other than your mouse and keyboard.
