Unfortunate music box sound glitch

After I got a music box, recently, the tune kept playing as if I were standing right next to it, even when I moved away. Quitting and reloading did not fix it, nor did starting a memory, though it eventually stopped when the song finished. However, it later came back; it's not clear what its triggers are, but the song certainly plays every time I load the game, and at other times as well. It's not completely game-breaking, but it's significant and annoying. Any ideas how I might be able to fix it?

I have the exact same problem now. It's so unnerving, when I load the last checkpoint in a mission. Did you ever get rid of it? Otherwise I have to start a new game because of this. :(

Strange, that you can't find more about this on the internet. Do someone else have a fix for this?

Seriously, this needs a fix! I have the same problem. I think it was cause by looking in a menu too quickly after picking one up or something. It won't go away and reoccurs every time i restart last checkpoint or use fast travel, killing the mood every time. Restarting the game didn't make it stop. Picking up more boxes didn't make it stop. I'm stumped!

Realize this is a while after the original post, but I just started playing the game and I'm having the same glitch. Seems to happen every time I hit a loading screen.

Same here, Anyone found the solution so far? After completing the game and collecting all music boxes is it still plays when starting a memory?

IDK about a fix, but I had this glitch and eventually it just went away and I didn't have it anymore. I don't think I did anything to fix it though, it just kinda disappeared.

Maybe it's kinda a reminder that you have to visit the vault. After I placed the collected music boxes in the vault placeholders the music disappeared. Then I've collected few more, the glitch appeared again.

It happens to me every time I load a save, go back to checkpoint or fast-travel.
Basically every time my character loads to the world.

If you have collected music box, bring them in the vault. I think this fix is temporary until you collect another music box.

I tried that and it worked once, and then it started doing it again without me collecting a new box.
Now I am just trying to collect all boxes for the [redacted] reward and see if it fixes it (and for getting the reward lol).

I don't think it's a bug, because evie says something about reuge going mad, maybe it has something to do about that..! And only solving it makes it go away maybe! Sorry for necroposting but i am experiencing it currently!
