Massive stutter when in the carriages!
The game seems to be running really well at 40-60 fps for me on high settings. But when I'm driving a carriage the game keeps stopping to load the objets ahead. Anyone else have this issue? And does anyone have a fix?

Specs:
AMD A10 @3.7GHZ
NVIDIA GTX 750TI OC
8 GB RAM

Start by turning down the graphic options.

Tried that. I still get the stutter even on the lowest settings. After the NVIDIA drivers it seems to be a little bit better. but is still happening.

It may be the combination of 8gb ram, and the 750ti. The game seems to be optimized for higher graphics cards and more memory. Sorry I can't help

I'm getting the same problem on a GTX 970 and 8GB RAM. You can actually see the low detail buildings up close as it stutters and loads in the environment. I actually disabled the gameworks stuff too because it's more or less the only way to get consistent 60fps in this game, even though the visual representation of remaining VRAM shows it being within acceptable range.

Yep, exact same issue i'm having. I assume it's the 8GB RAM

Performance is poor in carriages.. but I don't get stuttering.

8GB Ram is the recommended though which means it should still run acceptably. I have a feeling there's something more going on since I've seen other people with 8GB Ram running it fine.

Yeah, I hope it gets patched soon though. Because its unplayable on a carriage or train.

No stuttering at all, in any of the game for me

i5 4690
GTX 970
8GB 1600mhz DDR3

I am running the game on an SSD though, are you running a SSD or HDD people with stutter?

I'm running it on a WD Black HDD (7200RPM). I don't actually have enough space on my SSD for this game (128GB). I remember streaming issues like this in batman arkham knight which was also initially 8GB Recommended (is now 12GB Rec). Really hope this isn't the same.

Its also the vram which they recommend at least 3gb, if your running a 2gb card and 8gb ram its trying to make up the difference it needs but can't find it, hence the stuttering.

yeah except the gtx 970 has 4GB VRAM, and even with one with less like the 750 you should be fine if keeping under the threshold

Might be why, same thing happens with Fallout 4 and Arkham Knight.. do you have an SSD to test?
