Mods.
Just imagine this game with mods. It will most likely suck, but if people mod this up.

Glory.

Since there isn't any official modding support, it seems that nobody puts the effort in (even unofficially). This will be the same.

This is why we should add in modding support.

as far as I know, you can't do that without access to the source code. Would probably need access to the dll files of the anvil next engine as well.

there have been a couple of small mods and fixes, but frankly it may be what AC needs, that and stop releasing a game per year XD
Ubisoft's problem in general with the PC community is that they feel we don't purchase their games enough, so adding OFFICIAL modding support would be a great way to encourage PC gamers to give the franchise a shot.

However, I think they fear that their DLC offerings will appear more miniscule if the modding community can offering better for free, which might be why they refuse to do so

ubisoft's main thing is they are a console-centric game publisher/developer. That is the main reason why no ubisoft game will ever have offical mod support.

No one is saying that they can't, it's just that they won't.

AC-Games are way too Linear,so there's no reason for them to add Mod-Support.In Games like F4,Skyrim,Witcher 3 etc ... it makes sense, because there's lots of Content (for Moders) to work with.

Also,Ubisoft is way too Greedy to allow Moder's to give out Free Content (be it Graphical,Skins,Quest - Mods) to Players, especially if they can charge 10-15$ for it.
