The specs of your i5 processor can make a significant difference. If you are running an older i5 then your CPU may be a bottleneck. Had to upgrade my son's i5 2400 to an i5 3500K (overclock to 4.2 GHz with Corsair water cooler) to remove the CPU bottleneck from his machine but he is running dual 780s too.

the thing is. people with a GTX 980 Ti, expect this game to run with everything fully maxed and get 60 fps+ with no drops. have you even considered how beautfull this game looks. and that all those fancy Gameworks features are there for the people with High end GPU's.

i read an article on the Nvidia website, and it clearly explained how each Graphics setting will affect performance. while i do agree this game needs some extra optimizations, its just not as bad as people may think. turn down those Gameworks features, and you'll be getting a solid 60 fps.

as for the people will lower end Rigs, they will indeed suffer the most. but this is not nearly as bad as Unity, which was a full mess on Launch, and this game has much less issue's, besides of some bugs here and there. but that's to be expected, because no game is perfect these days.

Honestly i wasnt expecting to be able to go as high as i can and have playable gameplay after the horrible mess that was unity. I think i actually jumped out my chair when i was able to completely max out everything to ultra high and never dip below 45fps and average mid 50's considering how much of a strain HBOA+Ultra and TXAA4x+FXAA are which for this type of game isnt a big deal really. Not much twitch playing like in a fps. which i try to run around 140fps+ to match my monitor. At high preset over 80fps average isnt to shabby considering how graphics intensive most open world games are. The biggest thing is you can have almost the same gaming experience at a lower preset. Its fun going wow look at all the small textures and shadows ect but when it comes down to it 20 minutes into the game you dont notice any of that but if your over 30fps on 1080p just think your still getting more than the 900p @ 30fps everyone who bought the game on a console is stuck with :P

New patch that dropped today - around 500MB - upped my frames from averaging 45 or so to a pretty consistent 60. More CPU utilization - older i5 - but very happy with the tweaks!

GTX780 (Haswell i7 rig with 16Gb Ram on Sabertooth motherboard)...
Settings automatically set to MEDIUM with x2 graphics (Double 1080p scaled?).

Didn`t think they would make games to outrun a GTX780 for High/Ultra yet.

The game does run pretty smooth... even if I had to reboot after installing because of a temp start glitch. Just about worth the Sale price.

no absolutely not
a gtx 660ti is significantly weaker than a gtx 660 while a i5 3470 is nowhere close to the power of a i5 2400s. if you get the game you will really suffer with a fps of around 5-10 only.
its better to get arkham knight, its easier to support, has better optimization and has a system requirement that is very different than ac syndicate.
in fact i bet you lag when playing games like tf2, csgo or.. minecraft. better to thrash your pc and get a real pc that has intel core duo, use intergrated graphics, and get 16 mb of ram

Hopefully you have the 3 GB version of the 660 TI but if not you'll still get enough GPU muscle to run AC Syndicate. A single GTX 660 TI is probably not going to do the trick for you though I'm afraid. anyway, if you dont want an upgrade, you can at least play the game at 720p at 60fps. if you have the vram, focus on upping the textures first. you should be able to handle 1080p at 30fps with med-high settings pretty easily. the only nvidia gameworks tech you should use is hbao+, and if you dont care much about jagged lines, just turn off aa or just use fxaa, since msaa will kill your fps
with my 860m (which is only abt the power of a 650ti), i managed to get max textures and everything at med and hbao+ at 900p with a solid 30-40 fps, so you could get almost 60 if you choose 900p.
