Is this just a passive bonus? After getting this upgrade I'm not seeing any properties to purchase on the map.

Yes, it only increases your income on the train when you invest. You don't/can't buy property.

That's a shame. I was wondering this as well, hoped you could do a similar sort of thing like in AC Rogue with the building renovations. Thanks for confirming though.

Thats been the bests parts of AC games to buy things and upgrade them a big shame its not in this one
