Save animation, non-stop and annoying?

So far I'm liking the game, but I have to say the non-stop spinning "save" icon is making the game almost unplayable for me. It's super distracting, annoying, and takes me out of the action.

I realize it's a personal thing, but it is spinning for what seems like almost any movement in the map. Does this get better as the game goes on, or is it basically saving the ENTIRE time?

Anyone else noticing this? Is it some setting I have to turn off?

So, I'm not the only one having this bug. I searched the forums but couldn't find any similar description.

I don't have any solution. What I can say is that it appears to be the online component of the game, because if I block access on the firewall it goes away.

I hope it's something on Ubisoft servers, because yes, it maybe a small bug, but it is really annoying.

Is it always on the screen for you or does it go away? It will always autosave after opening a chest, sync a viewpoint, pick up collectables and complete any mission. But it should go away after a couple seconds. You can't turn it off through the hud.

So far it's pretty much been on most of the time - I'll change some network settings and see if it helps

yep got this same problem, standing still doing nothing at all save icon keeps on spinning and spinning and spinning

oh and it keeps doing this even when i am in the starting menu of the game, so ....

after putting uplay into offline mode this never happend to me again, achievements and stuff don't work then but, for a temporary fix you can try this, blocking the game in my firewall din't help me for

Yea, I just reset all my stuff, router, machine etc - now it's gone away. Pretty silly bug though
