Gauntlet Damage?

WTF is this??

It's not brass knuckles...

Is it the hidden blade damage? which doesn't make sense because hidden blades are used only for instant kills....

so what does this damage increaese do?

is it for poisons etc?

im at a lost...

well gauntlet is attack, belts/capes are defense and stealth.

no idea how significant the numbers are though...ubisoft kind of whiffed there.

I'm not sure, but I think the gauntlet adds to your attack stat in general, just like you have a general stealth stat or defense stat. Short of that, it could really only be the hidden blade damage, but you don't seem to use that in combat at all in this game.
