Worst: Revelations, 3, Syndicate and Odyssey
Meh: Brotherhood, Unity, Liberation and 1
Contrary to popular opinion though, what annoyed me most in it was the abysmal storyline and speakers. I did not even know what I was actually doing half the time, because the dialogue gave me no indication as to what was actually happening on screen. Instead it just dumped me into a series of situations which only had the barest hint of cohesion or actually telling a story.
I remember the Ezio-saga very fondly, though. Black Flag and Rogue as well. And I even enjoyed AC3, even though ist doesn't seem to be well liked at all.
Just started playing Syndicate and while I am still at the very beginning, I like it a lot. With the exception of the Perks being unlocked by grinding certain maneuvers. But we'll see how that plays out.
I still go back to the first AC from time to time.
Fair point actually. I liked the main story, even though much of it was tongue-in-cheek. But then, aren't most AC storylines? Lol.
I think for me, it was the setting of Victorian London which really helped to make the game. I always hoped for a more "modern day" AC game, and I think this is the closest we got to it.
Not an easy question to answer tbh... Everyone has his own preferences and interests.
From scratch I would probably choose Assassin's Creed Odyssey as THE BEST, as it combines the good features of previous games + allows you to make story changing decisions and choose answers and questions in conversations with NPCs and I would choose Unity as the WORST as it seems so simplified and blant, almost like some kind of free to play AC, although the unity story is ok.
I was always on the fence about Unity because of the reviews, which is why I didn't buy it. So far, the only games i'm missing from my collection are Black Flag, Unity and Odyssey. I've barely started Origins! You think it's worth picking up Unity?
