Portal to WW1 - Is it best to finish the main storyline before using it?

I just reached Sequence 6 and discovered the Portal thing, I had a quick search around the net as to what it might be so i'm pretty sure what it is about, but no spoilers please. I just want to know if I should ignore it for now and keep playing the regular game before going to a whole new area. I'm already doing this for the Jack the Ripper DLC, so yeah. Should I wait?

I played it as soon as I noticed it on my map. As far as I know it didn't really spoil anything for me. I haven't finished the game so I can't be 100% certain, but from what I saw it was just an interesting little future look and ties in some plot things around a character from past games.

I'd say just go for it.

I have finished it and it wouldnt matter when you play it. It wont spoil anything in the main game for you so play when you like.

Yeah, it's kind like Sequence 8 which is independent of the main storyline, and it doesn't matter when you do it.
