purchased on steam but asking for activation code!

When I launch my game on uplay it is asking for an activation code wich I do not have since I have made my purchase from steam. What can I do...

Right click on the game in your Steam library and click on 'View CD Key'. that's your activation code.

Alternately, from the game page in your Steam Library, click on the CD Key option on the right. That will open a window displaying any keys for the game. Click the main one and it will open a new window with a button to copy the key to the clipboard. That way you can just paste it in when asked for the key.

Note, that any DLC (including the free steampunk outfits) will show up as separate keys that will need to be individually activated with Uplay.

how the ♥♥♥♥? when you start downloading the game (by pressing "play game") it opens up a tab and in it is your code, then you press "copy to clipboard" or "dont show me this again"

would love to play this but having the same issue bought the game during the sales installed it over a few days go to play it today and its asking for a key well i dont have a key steam has no option for me to view key like other games i have it says view key in the list of options on the right no option for this on ac

I'll add in that I had (and activated) keys for a few things, but I no longer have access to 'CD Key' option for this game in steam. I'd like to activate the Crimes DLC, but I have no option to get the key to put it into Uplay.

I dont have an option for a CD Key but closing uplay and opening the game again fixed it. Never asked for a key after that and I never added one so I guess it fixed itself.
