Just a set of side missions...
Last Maharaja feels like it should have either been in the game on release or it should have been released before Jack the Ripper DLC... I've spent about an hour on it so far and i'm almost halfway through these new side missions(Memory 4 of 10).

I mean, it's not a bad thing I guess... If you really like Syndicate you'll probably enjoy this and feel the Season Pass was worth it(Got it on sale and i'm not complaining about the SP content too much) but this really should have been released much earlier than it was.

From day one they announced this was going to be the last DLC consisting on a set of brand new ten missions, to be released in Spring, so it was expected. Plus, Jack the Ripper is featured many years later so theres no issues with continuity. IMO.

I'm assuming they take place after you meet him right? I recently switched hard drives and lost my completed AC game file (and ubi for whatever reason doesn't enable cloud saves for this game) so I'm wondering if these missions are worth restarting and getting to that point in the game again.

They're not worth restarting if i'm to be honest. They don't really add much and a lot of the assets in it are recycled from the base game. It's pretty much running around most of the time and killing a handful of enemies with some conversation between you and the Maharaja. All in all it takes around two hours to beat.

From what I gathered(Although I was max level), the DLC adjusts to your level. Whether or not that means it will downscale enemies if you're level 1 or if it just upscales them if you're level 10 I don't know... but the missions start from level 4 and finish at level 7 which should be obtainable for the most part.

Ok good to know. Sounds like something I'll get to on a second playthrough down the line.

The Season Pass or just The Last Maharaja?

Maharaja alone? Not worth it even if you're a fan of the game. It takes two hours to beat max. It is, literally, just a new set of side missions with zero plot to really speak of.

If you buy the Season Pass? Sure, I guess but only if you absolutely loved Syndicate and want more to play. The two train missions take 10minutes or less to beat, they're kind of frustrating too. The weapons you get are incredibly powerful being on par in stats with the best items in the game and you get them for free, at level 7(As opposed to level 10). The only two good outfits, however, are free to download(Evie's Dracula inspired outfit and Jacob's Frankenstein inspired outfit which are free for everyone I think). Jack The Ripper DLC is okay, a bit of mystery and some new locations with new mechanics and one or two new assassinations which can be enjoyable to do.

I'd buy the Season Pass but only if you really liked Syndicate and want more. Otherwise all you're getting is weapons you can do without, a meaningless XP boost(Around 5%), ten side missions(Maharaja) and pre-order DLCs which take an hour to beat altogether(Darwin/Dickens additional missions -- only three -- and the two train missions which take ten minutes each roughly) and Jack The Ripper DLC.

Edit: Just looking at the DLC in the season pass now.

Jack The Ripper: €14.99 - It's okay, worth playing. Takes about 4-6 hours to beat.
Steampunk Pack. €4.99 - Useless. Not good stats, doesn't look great and the weapons you don't need.
Victorian Legends Pack. €4.99 - Best outfit for Evie, unlocked immediately. The weapons you don't need.

Both Victorian Legends and Steampunk packs include level 7 weapons and gear that are just as good as max level gear. It's not needed, you can beat the game without them easily but it does make it easier. Can't remember if buying one pack gives you weapons for both Evie and Jacob or just for one character.

Only Jacob's free outfit is worthwhile. Evie's isn't. Her best outfit comes with the Victorian Legends Pack(Along with L7 weapons that match level 10 stats).

Streets of London Pack: €6.99 - Worthless to be honest. It's just pre-order DLCs that not everyone got. It's an hour or less of content which you really won't miss out on(No story, nothing added to the game).

The Last Maharaja: €6.99 - It depends. Two hours to beat, not much of a story. Worth 6bucks? Could be.

If you really want the DLCs you're better off buying Jack The Ripper and The Last Maharaja for €22. That's all your content worries sorted. The rest is just additional items really that you can easily do without.

Hmm ... Thanks for the thorough explaination, no i just wanted the last maharaja dlc, jack the ripper i dont want because they changed evie and jacobs characters too much, they were funny and energetic in the base game , in jack the ripper they just seemed bland and boring ( watched a few walkthroughs) , i guess ill skip then overall.

Also i did get the dicken and darwin quests and the train quests, maybe it was part of the pre order?

Thanks though :)

Jack The Ripper pretty cool dlc but i didnt like the fact that it happens like 20 years after the main game events... Eve looks much older and without her charming smile from the main game, got me a little sad, getting older sux, no need to show it in games as well :steamsad:
