Blackflag i played for about 80 hours, but i sailed around exploring and collecting for a long time before actually resuming the main game.
In terms of longest story per individual game i don´t know, but for engaging story that you dont want to leave...... i would say AC2, Revelations (AAAAH Den Defence) and BF. Syndicate i really like, but Unity and AC3 i couldn´t sympathise with the protagonist and it felt like a slog to actually play the game.
Sydicate is a good game, but as mentioned in other forums the controls are too simple, i have beaten Unity and syndicate without dsyncronizing once. But in the time of Ezio i was dying all over the place. However Evie and Jacob are fun to play. But not a challenge
Worlds....
Unity was complex and confusing maps and ridiculously cryptic investigation missions. But it was pretty and very interactive. Also some "Off Map" missions make a refreshing change.
AC3 was a distraction fest, Saiing, Hunting, Skinning, Village building, forests, cities, wars. It was great to play in that world, but connor was a bore and often you didn´t care about his missions.
BF. Edward was an instant assassin and kicked ass, but the world and the boats was the winner, even from the very beginning you could sail into a fort, kill everyone and sail off again. I had collected so much loot that i had bought one of the best guns before i was even 10% into the game. It felt like total freedom........... except......tornadoes.....WHY!!!!!
ROME...... well its just perfect, AC2 and Brotherhood nailed the worlds.
Florence, Montegiorno (is that right) it was lovely to be in and explore and without map restraints. And lots of location changes.
Liberation was fun, and a change, New orleans and the bayue...bayuue....buyuuuu....swamp, with castle, crocs, plantations.
AC has got very simple to play and quite easy, the conteract defense is a joke and it not real combat, and stealth has become a side action. Things like blending and distraction have dissapeared and fast travel means you dont get to know the worlds anymore. Bt i am happy that the animus element has been scaled down.
I am going to stop now as i realise i have begun to ramble an i realise that i have too many gripes with this series....... next topic (Never buy the season pass)
I'm at sequence 5 and i'm level 7 in Syndicate, 35 hours. Mostly tracking down activities, collectibles, and doing completely random stuff.
