How Much Gameplay is Forced w/Female Character?
Frrom reading it seems at times you will be forced to play as the female character. How much of the game time is forced as the female character? Best estimate (wag) vs. the male character play time.

A quote from another site
"As for the length of the game's main story, we don't yet know all the details. Jacob will be playable for the majority of the main story missions, around 75 percent of them, with Evie stepping in for the remaining 25 percent."

After playing most of the game, I'd say that's about right, since I thoroughly preferred playing Evie's character and 3 out of 4 times a mission would come up...I'd be forced to change over to Jacob to complete it.

And I thought AC fans were complaining about the series being too much of a sausage fest...

Evie is genuinely the more interesting character between the two.

I played as Evie every chance I could. She's a great character. I believe you can force which character you want to play most of the time, except for mission specific requirements.

It's roughtly half the main story questline. The WWI segment uses a female descendant as well. Overall, I found Evie to be the more interesting of the two siblings though.

Sadly most of the game's jacob

You also play as her nearly 100% of the time in the Jack the Ripper campaign. If you're one of those people for which playing a female "breaks immersion," this is probably not your game. Shame too because Evie is a far more interesting character than Jacob; and I say that as someone who actually likes Jacob.

Well, you have two different mission goals...so you cant say you are "forced" to play as Evie...just dont do it...

While I can't imagine why you'd regard being "forced" to play as by far the more interesting, better written, and far more mechanically fun to play character as a negative, you can play as whichever character you want for non-story missions, and most story missions are Jacob.

I'd be really interested to hear your motive for asking this questi-

Actually, I don't really want to know.

The male character dies in the title screen and you're forced to play at Evie and every loading screen she reads from the communist manifesto.

Ubisoft just can't catch a break.

Others may have had that opinion. I am consistent in not wanting to play a female character, period. Nor do I piss and moan because they aren't included. I still have my balls and brains and have not been converted to Manginaliness.

Also, on the point of her being an 'interesting' character, I find the majority of video games to be cliches start to finish, including ther characters. See, I grew up reading books. Great novels by great writers. After that, I've seen a ton of movies so I've seen these plots and characters 100x over already.

I don't play for the characters or dialogue. It's just consistently awful. I play for the world they created, if it is interesting.

Right. If you're looking for decent stories to go through, the AC series should probably not be your priority at all.

Let's not be dramatic. A hundred gamers (out of what? let's say 50000 world-wide) complained about the lack of a female protagonist, so according to you, not a single person can complain about having to play a female?

100 - wants a female
1 - doesn't want a female
49899 - don't care

OMG.. UBISOSFT CANT CATCH A BREAK!!11!!!111!
