Poor Performance Fix?
Ever since I purchased this game I have struggled to get a playable framerate. Google shows that I'm not the only one here. I've tried every combination of settings at both 1080 and 1440p with no luck.

I have a GTX 780 6GB Strix OC from ASUS and an Intel Core i7 4790k. Annoyingly a friend with a GTX 960 and an i7 6700k gets 60FPS at 1080p with moderate settings. My GPU is the faster one and yet I can't match his settings and expect anything above 40FPS.

I have a GTX 1070 coming in a couple days but online benchmarks show that the game will still struggle to reach 60 without sacrificing visual quality. Should be noted that I can run countless other games with arguably superior graphics just fine.

Anyone else seen performance issues with the 700 series specifically?

You have to understand that AC:S is the worst optimized game in the history of the series, with that being said I did what FPS Guide did and I saw a huge performance increase.

First thing you want to do:

Step 1 : Go the this file location C:\Users\"Name"\Documents\Assassin's Creed Syndicate

Step 2 : Open file named "AC"

Step 3 : Change the following

ReflectionQuality=2
Bloom=1
Fog=1
PostFX=1

Into:

ReflectionQuality=0
Bloom=0
Fog=0
PostFX=0

Direct copy and paste from that guide, guide name is FPS Boost if you don't want to click the link. It's in the guide section of this game. Also please keep in mind that playing in Windowed Borderless provides a slight increase in performance. Here are my specs:

i5 2500k @4.4Ghz
Zotac GTX1070 Amp Extreme (No OC)

I see anywhere from 90-110 fps.

Here is a SS of my in-game settings: http://imgur.com/a/pwaBZ

Hope this helps :)

You clearly, haven't played release Month Unity. Syndicate is one of the more better optimized of the series.

I run a 770, I have a 1070 coming in on Thursday. High/Ultra on everything at 40FPS.

Don't run gameworks and see how it goes. Lower your AA as well.

1070 should run ACS on Ultra 60+ FPS just fine as long as you don't crank Gameworks to the max.

I'm on an r9 270 with an fx 6300 and if I do:

ReflectionQuality=1
Bloom=1
Fog=0
PostFX=1

I go from 33fps in heavy areas to 50.
