Weird crash with Jack the ripper dlc, please help :)

I have the game on my uplay account, not on steam, before anyone says I don't own the game :)

I have had the game since launch and in my first play through the base game and all dlc, including jack the ripper worked fine.

I've decided to play through it again and just finished the base game and all the dlc that's included in the base game, but when I go to play jack the ripper from the main menu the game crashes with the ACS.exe error and closes back to desktop. The base game works fine, I just can't run the jack dlc anymore.

Has anyone else ever come across this problem? I cant find a fix as the fix for that crash is for the whole game crashing, not just the DLC.

Please Help, really want to be affable to play the ripper expansion again
