There's a way to fix "driving/horse" lag?

since about 2 weeks now i am also looking for a fix and there is not a singel way to work even Ubisoft support give you stupid troubleshootings steps that beside the fact that only waste your time doing them with game does nothing

I am having this issue too its so annoying to a point to where i'd rather run half way accross london to get to a mission than to drive

A doubt ubsoft will even try to fix anything....however if it was a "more money/EXP bug" then they will be all over it.

Hello everyone, do you all own the Jack Ripper DLC?

We are aware of players who have installed the Jack the Ripper DLC experiencing stuttering issues when driving a carriage at high speed in both the main game and DLC story. We released a patch (1.31) in January to address this issue in the main game, however we have received reports that some players are still continuing to experience stuttering in the JTR DLC.

We did the best we could to implement a fix, however no viable option could be found.

Ok i fixed this using a fps limiter, u guys can use bandicam recorder program to cap the game on 30 or 45 fps in the fps limiter or can try to put vsync turned on in the game and in nvidia control panel put vsync in rapid So... I hope this helps you guys too!

I continue to have this issue. I've installed Bandicam, enabled the frame limiter, and for a while that worked. For some reason, however, the stuttering has returned. It's only while driving the carriage (whether I'm going slow or fast), and I'm noticing surrounding buildings are stuck at the lowest Level of Detail and objects pop in randomly. The stuttering has even been so bad as to crash the game a couple times.

I'm finding it difficult to stay immersed in the game's atmosphere when this happens, and it's really a shame that such great environment work is brought low by poor optimization.

What seems to help for me is switching to borderless fullscreen. It comes at the cost of a slight fps drop, but I haven't encounted any lag on carriages after doing that.
