Running on the D Drive?
I've been interested in playing for a little while, but, apparently, unless you fiddle with it, the game might not run on a drive other than the C Drive.

Since my C Drive ain't too big, any ideas?

I am running it of my D drive without problems, but indeed that is a well known issue for assassins creed games. But it doesn't seem to affect everybody.

You could try it out and refund the game if you do encounter the problem.

It is, just google it lol https://www.google.com/search?q=asssins+creed+only+working+on+C+drive

A ton of search results ranging from early ac games up until AC odyssey. So yes it is a well known problem for all the Assassin's creed games.

I run this game on my D Drive and the rest of my games as well. Never had a problem EXCEPT when I first switched and had to get used to it, when I had trouble it was something I did wrong. So make sure everything is set up in the right place including steam downloads and stuff and you should be good to go. I also set everything else to download to d drive automatically since it has more space (this includes downloads from chrome, etc.)

All you should have to do is change where your games download (or add it)

I don't have this problem with any Assassin's Creed game or any other game in my library.

One can google any game and get hits. World is full of idiots. Certainly, you know this, yes?

Of course, you don't bother to mention that in all those hits, everyone counters that they run it on a different drive just fine, just like in this thread. Funny, that. :steamfacepalm:

Yes like I said most people have no issue running it of another drive just like I don't have the problem. But the fact that so many hits come up regarding this specific issue means that it actually is a known problem.

Iron is metal; therefore, water is wet.

That's a totally different comparison.

There are a lot of cases online about this exact problem, so that implies that it is a somewhat common problem.

Just name your drive C or whatever you want that doesn't matter. I have mine installed on the X drive. Just make sure your MY DOCUMENTS isn't restricted access.
