This looks good but the nasty german government is giving you money through their climatecult propaganda program and that has me concerned (watch the very end of the trailer).

Government should be banned from interfering with cultural goods of any kind as long as it is legal and not promoting criminal acts.

Not to indulge in such discussions too much, but I feel it appropriate to clarify that the grant's primary focus was economic promotion, aka to help the development of the domestic German games industry. It was handled by our ministry for Economic Affairs that also happens to have some climate-related roles because our country likes to mix ministry responsibilities, I guess (case in point, it had "Digital Infrastructure" instead of "Climate Action" in the name when the grant was approved).
There is practically no outside input on creative decisions made during development. It just makes our lifes and development of this game easier from a financial perspective.

Thanks for the clarification. But it is my duty and human right to call this out, as long as people have a civil discussion about this I dont see a problem. Usually money is not just given without something being given in return, it is foolish too think that is not the case > hence me speaking up. The customers deserve to know if there might be a problem and for now I will take your word for it being fine.

I hope this will come out well and wont get influenced by this deal or whatever you want to call it. It really does look good and crosscode was fun. Any "funny business" will be called out. I am sure the devs will be smart enough not to engage in it as they didnt in the first game.
