Forgotten Shaft 3 Impossible

I've checked everywhere, walkthroughs and gameplays and all I can find is a slightly different room where the puzzle is possible. For me there is no way to get to the middle ledge. Am I completely missing something here?

The puzzle revolves around using the bombs to slide the box/platform while standing on it.
An explosion from the top pushes it down, an explosion from the left pushes it right and vice versa.

The puzzle itself just requires some aiming and some semi quick movement to complete.
It's necessary to turn off the heat element for some of the puzzle.

If anything else fails, it's possible to do a dash-jump from the left platform, but you need to slide the block all the way through to get to the chest anyways.
The only thing the button does, it raising the platform you see to the left.

I got stuck on that for a long time, too, then I figured the bombs had to be used... Very nice twist on the mechanics.

So I'm stuck in this room now as well.

I ended up figuring out how to use the bombs on my own and I've got the middle platform button pushed. The sliding pillar up against the middle platform..

I nearly gave up at this time point until while typing this I hit an idea that worked.

I got an angle from on top of the box where I could hit the left bomb. Once that bomb was gone another fully charged ball would bounce directly back towards me. While using Fire, destroy the bomb, then quickly get another fully charge shot on the wall to bounce back towards you just before the bomb respawns. This is the only way I could figure out to be ON the box while it's sliding.

I could also get the Fire shot to hit the same bomb easier by hitting a corner near the bomb very carefuly, but I could never get the explosion any more than half way to me this second way and never actually effecting the box while I was standing on it.
