Temple dlc boss takes an average of 15 minutes to burn down
Not even fun tbh. Just an annoyingly long time even with scene skip to get to actual battle each time, buffing with food, only to have super tanky boss where you have to perfect guard. A skill that wasn't really trained through gameplay until you are forced to or die with him. So you git gud, and waste hours trying to do a stupid boss battle.
No sense of fulfillment, no feeling of victory, just "good riddance." Consider re-balancing it or at least putting a halfway checkpoint.

you can use the first fire guard art to perfect block

stop beating down the wall and go around it. you can't expect people on forums to even care that you are unable to beat a boss first try
"I am not very good at the game and struggling with a boss fight, let me go on the forums to complain about how stupid the boss is and how is it definitely not my own fault!"

Aka the classic salty gamer. :mhwhappy:
I felt that a massive part of success in that fight was determined with using fully ascended gear that scaled with your level, and being at a decent level.

What build did you use? Did you fully upgrade your weapons and armor with materials found in the dungeon's explorable zone? What level are you?

No I beat it, just that even with good gear it takes around 15 minutes, and the problem with that is you end up spending hours playing the same battle over and over. At the very least, having a halfway checkpoint like they do with the boss of the base game campaign(which I found quite easy) would make alot of sense.

Wrong. Not counting cutscenes, Gellot on YouTube beat it with no damage in about 7 and a half minutes: https://youtu.be/GvRSz_9aLI4?t=4434

(Boss starts at 1:13:34 and ends at 1:21:00)

But you see, this actually requires being good at the game. OP merely thinks he is good, but that's not the same thing :mhwhappy:

Yup lol.

No joke, I've seen so many posts of people complaining about how this boss fight is "unfair" or "not designed for the game's combat system" or "too long" when there are multiple videos of people beating it with no damage, no cheese strats (not even possible to cheese it anyway), and in under 10 minutes. All signs of a properly designed boss fight.

I wish gamers would just admit they're struggling with a part of a game or are just not very good at it instead of jumping to "this is bad design." These kinds of posts are waaaay too common online.

That's what happens when you have an overblown ego and too much pride. The reason it's so common online is because it's a perfect environment for stroking your own ego, and you can do it from the safety of your own room without any real repercussions. You can have hundreds of people laughing at you and telling you that you're bad at something and you can just shrug it off. But the same pride is likely not going to survive just a couple of people in real life making fun of you and telling you the same thing straight to your face.
