Cave of aspiration challenge
Does anyone know how to complete the cave of aspiration without the shield?
(it's one of the challanges). I already completed the time challenge so I want to complete this one too.

When you enter the cave, there is a "terminal" near you. You have to use that to disable your shiled before trying to complete that challenge.

The shield'll be enabled again in the last part for defense.

Good luck!!

Took me awhile as well to realize you CAN use the shield on the last platform. Otherwise that would be way too hard. :p

Yeah, right?!?
I tried doing it without the shield countless times!
Then I realized it was enabled again...

I finished both the no shield and under 2 mins challange at the same time and now Im learning that I had shield on the last part all along! I wasted 2 hours of my gameplay for this challange... Well at least I got 1 minute 34 seconds

Wait you could use the shield in the last part? I just tried a couple times and did it without the shield myself, once you learn how to wait on one side till they shoot then move, its pretty easy to dodge that last area.

They adjusted things so that the no-shield challenge really is no-shield the whole way through, now, by making the platform at the end larger for that mode. It used to be different.

They made it larger? It didnt seem too bad with the small platform...to each their own I guess.

The changes to the way platform edges work probably helps a lot with that (they're now "sticky" when they used to be "slippery"). Before, trying to dodge around in that narrow space was very likely to cause you to fall if you weren't super precise with your input. It's a lot more doable now, so they could probably revert that change, but I still think the extra platform space helps the challenge feel more fair, without significantly reducing the overall difficulty.
