Okay, you don't seem to like a lot of things about the setting and the charactyers, that's fine, that's how it works. Some things aren't for everybody. So, why keep posting about all of it here like this? This game has overwhelmingly positive reviews so it's not likely people are going to agree with what you're saying in the first place...
...and that matters how? People are not allowed to say they don't like something universally acclaimed? Only clappy hands and positivity? Or repeat the same established praises and the "community-allowed" criticisms over and over? I adore CrossCode, I'm glad many people do too, but let people air their complaints FFS, this is a forum about a vidyagame. No one wins on getting stuck in an echo chamber where a slightest discontent marks you as a persona non grata.
Oh boy, you really need to read people's comments before you post something like this. Here's a quote from mine, where I literally acknowledge people have different tastes and won't like things that other do:
Next time you blow up on somebody please make sure you're not actually the one acting stupid and completely misrepresenting whoever you're replying to. Also, by your own point: just as OP is allowed to say that they don't like something most people like, I am just as much allowed to point out my observations too. So, what's the problem then? Am I not allowed to make my own observations?
So yes, don't go around """questioning"""" why people BoThEr to post about things they dislike. It's irrelevant what the game's score or general reception is. OP wrote nothing but his impressions with the game, very verbose because maybe that's their style or it was just a flow of thoughts, and you open with "innocent" question if they are asking for validation, what a caring soul you are asking such genuine and empathetic, and totally not passive-aggressive questions. If you think mentioning once that's it's fine to dislike something and then both prefacing and following with stuff that is the very opposite, then maybe you ask yourself why even post that.
You can have your last word, I think I have nothing substantial to add.
Kid plays a game with lots of enemies around to kill then goes out of his way to not kill them. We got a real winner here, folks. I'm sure he'll be here complaining about how hard things and how he can't afford anything after running away the whole game.
>Pretty much every character in this game annoys me and honestly I can't figure out why
You can't figure out why because the problem is probably with you. You're likely a jerk or somewhat antisocial. The characters in the game are just acting fun, goofy and friendly with a little sass for most of it. If you're repulsed by such simple pleasures then you're probably a jerk yourself. No need to be concerned but just be aware of it for future reference.
>but I just can't put interest in the in universe lore about the MMO and the track and all that.
Given that the game completely drops the ball on the universe lore unless you buy the DLC, this is for the best anyway. It's one of the few shortcomings of an otherwise great game.

>People are not allowed to say they don't like something universally acclaimed? Only clappy hands and positivity?
Seems you fall into the same antisocial jerk category of the OP, yes? Also interesting how you're presenting OP as a poor victim because his negative opinion was called out. Not the strongest rebuttal.
---
>Ah yes the infinite meta escalation of "if they are allowed to complain, I am allowed to complain about their complaining
Hey, you started the victim act, hotshot. You made your bed and now you get to lie in it. You got no right to complain about it now but you're sure gonna try, ain't ya?
>OP wrote nothing but his impressions with the game,
Yes, and those impressions were stupid, biased, and tainted in negativity which have little to do with the game itself. Just like most of your "impressions" as well. I see one depressed jerk defending another depressed jerk and neither opinion is work a damn, especially given the victim act we got the second they're questioned. You don't even care about his opinion...you just want to lash out at others for daring to be positive. Typical brat.
So how's that for impressions?
