Proper way to fight the Blue Hedgehog?
Hey, finally got to playing through the game. Been going at a kinda casual pace, as I do. Anyway, finally decided to give the quest with the Blue Hedgehog a try. I beat it after a few tries, but I'm wondering how was I supposed to counter its 2nd phase charge move?

Nothing really seemed to work. Charged shots didn't help (not that I really expected them to in this case), that dash-cut special move stopped stunning him, dashing away didn't work because his bounce homed too well, guarding didn't help because his bounce came from above, not the front.

I ended up just eating some food to buff my defense and attack and brute-forced it (and also lucked out with not-Sonic targetting Emilie more often).

This isn't the first time I ran into trouble, but it is the first time I just can't figure what I was expected to do.

All his rolls/moves are dodgable, However to perform a clean dodge is about the same time to perform a non skill perfect guard as all enemy bosses have very high tracking and demands well timed attempts.

The main proper ways is to either dodge cleaningly or at least with half success, Or guard sphere your way and tank.

I just spammed dodges for his second attack, seemed to work everytime.

That's very strange, as other bosses I've faced (to be fair only 3? up to this point) seemed to have much more dodge-able attacks, in that I could actually do it, even if it required a bit of practice. This one not so much.

Since hes suppose to be a parody of Sonic as in gotta go fast, He is harder to dodge as well as an optional side boss to boot.

Dosent help the roll he does delays and the distance postioning between you and him is usually inconsistant as well xD

Oh well, hopefully with time I'll get better at timing the dodges. Thanks for the explanation all!

To dodge the flying homing attack, you gotta start dodging once he's in the air, not when he charges at you - he'll always stop just before colliding with you, then jump. If you wait until this moment, you'll have all 3 dashes to get away from him, and just zooming in any direction works.

That might actually have been my problem! Instead of multi-dashing as far away as I could after the bounce I tried a single dash at the last moment. I'll try to keep all your advice in mind going forward, thanks again!
