Notification Helper?

Just downloaded the game as part of the Bundle For Ukraine over on itch - and noticed that the game came with two exe files: The game itself, and something called notification_helper(dot)exe. What is that? Forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere; I tried searching for an answer but nothing came up...

It seems to be a Chromium extension, and by name, it might have integration with some notification system links?
Crosscode is in HTML 5, so it may use some Chromium brwoser tools even though it doesn't connect to the internet.

I see; thanks! I know some games come with a second executable to configure certain settings (some of the Sonic games on here come to mind), but also figured this might be something I'm not supposed to mess with, so I thought I'd make sure.
