A simple guide on how to fix controllers.

I just got this game, and when I tried to play it I ran into a strange issue where the keys weren’t where they were supposed to be (pressing b acted like x) and some buttons did duplicate functions (pressing a selected a menu option but then immediately also backed out of menus like b should).
I fixed it by going into steam big picture and setting up my controller as an Xbox One controller like you would normally do, but then while running the game I went to the controller options in the steam big picture layout and FORCED ON the Xbox one config instead of using the global config. If I didn’t force it on, the controller didn’t work properly.

I have no idea where I could force it on “globally”, so this is the only thing I could do to make it work. I imagine other players are running into the same issue, THINKING their controller is setup properly as an Xbox controller, but they miss this crucial step.

After doing this the buttons are all mapped properly and no longer do duplicate functions.
