While game is paused the race counter doesn't work, right? I know that game played time still runs.
Seen this recently, maybe keep an eye on it at least.

I'm kind of in the same boat about dungeon races. For me, to win I need to:
1. ignore all chests
2. not look at the scenery
3. facetank all hits while attacking furiously because there's no time for guarding
4. not experiment the dungeon features throughly
also: being stuck at puzzles adds a second layer of stress
So I think that having these races kind of undermine the work that was put into the dungeon designs. Most players will want to win at least some of these races on their first playthrough (even without knowing of the achievements), so a lot of people could end up not really enjoying doing dungeons.
Just like some other player suggested, I'd like to see a way to "retry" the races, reverting to your stats on the first entry so you could do the first run slower and appreciate the place.
Well, I guess this can already be done by saving, running normally then loading redoing, though.
I like to take my time and collect every chest sadly, really don't wanna race my first time through. Hope we'll have a way of trying again later on.
For the game trophy it seems that way, though you can still beat her in the tree as well.
