What does the magnifying glass on the quick menu do, please?
I accidentally buttoned past the explanation too fast, and don't remember what it does. I am just in the first Rhombus dungeon. All it seems to do right now when I select the magnifying glass from the quick menu is fade the screen a bit blue, and that's it.

What does this do, please?

It allows Lea to look more closely at something. It isn't used often, though there are a couple quests that make use of it. It can also act as a scan on enemies to give some basic combat info like HP and weaknesses.

Thank you!

Quite welcome. Also try using it on random "players" to learn their names. Useless, but a fun bit of detail. Many characters have mini storyline between areas, so it's fun to remember them. Nice attention to detail by the devs.

By the time you unlocked all 4 elements you should be using it all the time. Enemies tend to mix their own element types a lot later on and you always want to hit their weakness. Often there is a -50% weakness to one element while there is a +50% resistance to another.

The magnifier enables you to always take the right one although, to be fair there are visual clues as well.

This is also vital in quite a few quests later on, usually in detective-type quests, so make sure you get used to using it.
