I liked lufia 1 as well but I don't recall it having much puzzle mechanics in the dungeons.
Lufia 2 is favored by fans though, and I like it too, but I found that after you beat a certain tough boss with a temporary 3 male 0 female party, the difficulty NOSEDIVES, and never quite picks up... or maybe that just happens because I had loot from the ancient cave. Maybe I should play again without cave hopping (but the cave is funn!)
Never played Lufia games, only heard the title here and there. I will check it out, been struggling to find something interesting to play recently.
Golden sun 3 was terrible though, bah.
And yeah Sabotague, I was talking to you. Lufia 1 is a pretty generic SNES era RPG, which I like, but 2 definitely has some interesting puzzle/combat elements, plus a cool bonus dungeon that makes a game onto itself (it's not available until like halfway thru the game though), and some really nice music to boot imo.
The rest of the Lufia series if lackluster though.
