Honestly doing all the story and side quests will bring you to an appropriate level by themselves with minimal farming, however if you have done all that and are at a point where everything gives 1 exp then either the mass hedgehag room in Autumn’s Rise (reloading the game every time after clearing it out), or if you want to get better at combat and/or need money at the same time then the giant map loop in either Gaia’s Garden or Sapphire Ridge also works.

I also want to emphasize: When most enemies only give you 1 EXP, farming EXP will not get you far anyway. Instead, focus on improving your equipment.

If you want to hit 99, hedgehags are the way to go. After a certain point everything gives 1 xp, so they are more cost efficient.

Every level needs 1k exp, so when you're at the current end (around level 54) you probably want to go back to the starter areas just smashing 1k mobs to get a level. Or wait for new content and new higher level mobs giving you more exp again.

Hey, I'm actually in lvl 55 and Sapphire Ridge "works" because I get 3 exp-instead of the usual 1-from a Anaretarda with Mighty Strand

They take longer to kill though.
You can just walk and oneshot the starting mobs which is much quicker.

This is the best grinding spot!

I did the test, I started level 31 with 0/1000 xp bar, in less than 18 min I reached level 32, each run give you 20 xp.

1 run = 20 xp and 840 gold.
5 run = 100xp
50 run = 1000 xp and 1 lvl up!

I don't know why, in the video he start with 3 sp, and I start with 2 sp, just go there, and use your level 2 melee fire art and be happy killing them all as fast as the player in the video.

He had 3 because later in the story you get 12 sp total so your default gets to 3 instead of 2. You need to finish Krys'kajo for it.

Also, thats only worth it after you reach level 54/55 and ALL enemies, even those in Sapphire Ridge give you 1 xp.

You got to understand awarded xp is a correlation between your lv and the enemy's lv. Each enemy gives X xp if both are same level. Then, if your level is lower than the enemy's, you get bonus xp, BUT if you level is higher, you gain less, to the point you gain only 1 (usually after you're around 4 levels higher than the enemy).

Doing that at your level, when you re only lv 35ish and there are enemies still higher lv than you till lv 50, which give you between 25 to 50 xp per enemy depending on level, is pure waste of time.

That xp farm is useful ONLY, and ONLY, when no enemy in the game gives you more than 1 xp, which isnt your case since you re only lv 30ish.

In short, not only you're doing a very boring thing, you re doing a TOTALLY unefficient farm for your level. That's an endgame farm only.

Well, reloading the save might be a bit cheesy though considering that the devs have intentionally low respawn timers, unfortunately.

there are multyple places to farm xp. as stated hedgehag den and the loop in gayas garden are good places. another good place to get xp is that room with a billion bugs in the temple mine (lowest floor move all the way up if i remember correctly) it should reward the same amount of xp as the hedgahag den, 20 xp for clearing out every enemy, and because of their massive vurlnreblitety they are as easy to kill as hedgehags. just use the fire dash art and try to hit them all at once. instand 20 xp rinse and repeat

If you go to infested chamber in the Temple Mine, with a Trail Booster you can get 500-700 exp. every time just by killing 20 bugs (if below level 60 anyways). Especially if you have equipment that increases exp. gained, like the Tengu Mask.

Dungeons do not level up your companions though.

It's their problem though, isn't it? They'll be fine on their own. Only Lea's leveling matters.
TarzanEng Jan 8, 2019 @ 2:52pm
I do not know baout you guys but I think it is better if the devs do not cap the exp to 1 only.

I mean maybe make a secrect or use the final dungeon to gain exp.

Or, dare I said it, DLC...

You clearly did not understood the story of this game.
