Hunter Age
So, how old is the Hunter? I know 300+ but I know the answer is 300+ years so I guess the question is how old was The Hunter when he/she died in the 1700s?

The impression I get is mid-20s, but don't recall seeing anything to indicate age (but then I'm still in mid-game.) I'm actually hoping they leave it completely up to our own head-canon, leaving it open to be 16 or 60 years old if we wish.

The Hunter is part of the Blood, they age slower than regular people too.

there is a conversation with peter that says she is younger than him, not counting her years dead, so early/mid 20s

Early-Mid 20s dont make sense, as in another scene "Hunting undead for decades", seems to indicate Hunter is way older then that, unless Caretaker sent the Hunter out on undead hunts before the age of 5.

In that discussion the Hunter says their age is more about what they feel like, since being part of the Blood makes them age slower. So it's possible for them to hunt monsters for decades and still biologically be in their 20's even though chronologically they could be far older.

Low 20's. Similar in age to Nico, Robbie and Illyana, but younger than Peter.

Spoilers ahead.

Lilith's journals reveal that Hunter was born on the 17th or 18th November, 1694. Hunter's journal ends on November 3rd, 1712 with the words "Only one of us shall walk away from the storm that awaits.... It will be me. I can feel it... there are only moments left." implying Hunter was almost 18 at the time of his/her death, though you could reason (or there may be other sources suggesting) that the final battle came some time, maybe even some years, later.

There is a limit on this though, because we know Hunter was dead for more than 300 years (several places in the dialogue state it's more than 300, not less and Hunter tells Peter Parker, a grad student that (s)he is younger than him in years lived) and the current year is placed by Wanda's journals, which conclude just before Agatha's death on April 14th, 2020, some months before the start of the game.

So for sure between just shy of 18 and 26, but probably right at the bottom of that range.

In a friend cut scene they ask where Hunter comes from and you can answer America, England and not sure, I chose England and he talks about before America being made..

He comes off more 30s to me.. way too old for 20's..

Good observations all around.

As a gen-X'er I personally WANT my Hunter to be on the older side, if I had my way we'd be grizzled, and more like somebody who had been fighting demons for decades vs just a few years.

Game lore does seem to put us at about 18 if we are to believe the references pointed out, and sorry no offense to the zoomers but that's still basically a kid and not a battle hardened veteran of demon wars.

But hey, it's all a fictional make-believe story written by somebody else, so we are free to edit our own head-canon as we see fit!

Not a veteran of decades, but in those days people joined the army at 15 and those who survived could have been war veterans by the time they turned 20.

Hunter has most likely been killing monsters since their early teens. Yeah, horrible child endangerment in modern ages, but back in those days kids much younger than that were also working in coal mines.

We also got to remember that the Abby is in its own dimesion, we cant be sure time moves the same there as it does in the normal world. Plus, lets not forget magical training grounds and the like. So just because in real world time, the Hunter is around 20, that dont mean there experience is.

Yeah I was figuring that, and giving the benefit of the doubt by saying "a few years," figuring mid to late teens. But as somebody pointed out maybe time passes differently in the pocket dimension.

And I know that child soldiers ARE a thing, even today. It's totally possible to have an 18 year old person who'd been fighting for years. But that doesn't make me feel any more comfortable playing a character who is basically still a kid!

As a bit on the age, it's also said the hunter was aware while dead, in a vague way, and could kind of see the world while dead.

So they're effectively a good deal older.
