What is the sence of a NG+ which is not a NG+?
New game plus is defined to start a new game with all your unlocked levels, abilities, skills, items and collected stuff of the game.

SO WHY dear developers, you lose all levels, all cards, all resources, all items when starting a new game?

Its ok if you want to do it that way. But DONT call it NG+!

I think this is the first time they had to deal with new game+. there isn't one in xcom 2. let's hope they rethink about it. i stopped playing since i heard new game+. i just love keeping all type of mod card.

I'm not a fan of the NG+ implementation either.

That said I don't think arguing about the definition of NG+, based on potentially controvertible personal opinions is going to be the way to persuade the developers to make a change.

If everyone ask the same thing. it isn't personal opinions no more.

i kind of like it, it feels like a fresh start but you keep the grindy stuff, prestige levels and friendship levels and all unlocked cosmetics (thought you still need to buy it again). makes sense to not keep the cards even if it was annoying at first, but didn't take long to get them again since you already know what you want from last run. Also the fact that you don't have to grind for each research is nice and makes you able to focus on those important ones.

I mean I see why people are annoyed about resources and stuff but makes sense to have it this way, and unless you have 100h in your first save it goes fast to grind up, i had 60h in my first save when i started NG+ and it didn't take long to get it all again since you know your way around this time and know what to prioritize.

Udtojan95 complains not about the mode, but about it being called New Game+ when "New game plus is defined to start a new game with all your unlocked levels, abilities, skills, items and collected stuff of the game.".

That is his opinion. It didn't match any of the ones I found when I looked it up*, and as a consequence did not strike me as being likely to change people's minds. Your mileage may vary.

*The top three google searches giving Wikipedia: "starting a New Game Plus will usually have the player characters start the new game with the statistics and/or equipment with which they ended the last game".
TVtropes: "New Game+ is the option of starting a new game by accessing a previous finished game, allowing you to start with improved stats, new costumes or items won beforehand. ".
Giantbomb: "New Game+ ... is a mode, traditionally unlocked upon completion of the game, which allows the player to start a new game while carrying over things (e.g. level, items, money) from the previous playthrough.".

Yeah, basically exactly what the intention of Udtojan95's text.

For example Witcher 3

Geralt's level
All unlocked skills
All non-quest items, including all potions, food, materials, ingredients, and recipes
All weapons and armour in your inventory and in your stash

I think you are missing one very important detail, this isn't the witcher 3, every game has it's own version of NG+

Well, no. He specifically says (and indeed it is the whole intent of the post) that the mode in Midnight Suns is not a New Game Plus mode and should be given a different name. The reason for the "or" in those definitions is that some new game plus modes give you everything and some give you a select subset. There's a world of diference between "all" and "some".

This is legitimately a New Game Plus mode, it fits all the definitions. As I say, I don't think that's going to change anyone's mind as to whether it's a good implementation or not, and I don't think quibbling over definitions will be edifying for anyone.

I supported his opinion and now this is no longer personal. see. it's simple. do note that personal opinion can also be an important part of improvement.

and your google means nothing since you make a point about not persuade the developers to make a change. This is totally up to the developers to make not base on google. Your argument is also just as pointless as our personal opinion if you didn't think anything should persuade the developers to make a change.

This isn't witcher 3 but it doesn't means it cannot be like witcher 3. You gain nothing out of this argument. do people really fight for no benefit?

I'll do the NG+ in a few years, after all the DLC and patches drop.

Yeah me too, it's kinda pointless playing NG+ since you can't keep the deck you have built, beside, after you finishing the game you'll be spawned back into your room and keep playing missions with everything you have owned, that's basically the same thing as NG+ but better and minus the story, I don't get why the dev decided to add NG+ if they didn't actually have any idea of the purpose having NG+ lol
