But between all of the 90s nostalgia, the "Hello fellow kids" dialogue that the younger characters have, and the just general throwback feel of the whole thing, it is obvious someone in the 50+ age bracket was responsible for this writing.
Sometimes the Abby can feel like it can drag and I want to just move forward with more combat, and some parts of the Abby are better than others, but I think the game is better having it. If you don't like it then you can really just skip through a lot of the interaction, but if you enjoy the Marvel character building and references then there's a lot to be had through the Abby.
It has been a long time since I played that game, but I do think it's better than the Chimera Squad.
I only agree with strange but only because they prolly told the guy to sound stupid instead of extremely intelligent sorcerer supreme. Tony stark actually nailed it but you guys are so used to RDJ i guess.
sure mate voice acting is bad/ unsinspired. whatever you guys say.
if someone doesnt want to like a game, they will find reasons. and this game surely has some problems like performance and stiff animations. but voice acting is not it.
Tony Stark seems especially bad for me. His lack of confidence, his pettiness, need for validation, and fear of everything around him is a huge contrast to how I usually perceive him. sounds less like a genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist and more like Elon Musk.. Tony Stark can only be based off of one of two people right now. Howard Hughes or Robert Downey Jr.
Peter Parker was always socially awkward but him being the odd one out in a team full of zoomers and a vampire slayer is very VERY cringe.. That's kind of the reason I don't like the Midnight Suns Team. They pander to the zoomer demographic.
Dr. Strange comes off as pretty narcissistic.. It'd make sense if this is how he behaved before gaining the title Sorcerer Supreme, but this is after he's already established the title.
As for the Abbey itself, I feel like exploring it is kind of a slog. I physically run faster than the hunter in the Abbey. Is this to prolong my playtime? Is this also why there's no option to skip combat animations?
LOl. " lack of confidence, his pettiness, need for validation, and fear of everything around him" pretty much exactly descibres Elon Musk
I think the problem is, and I include myself in this, people are so used to the movie portrayals of the characters that its hard to accept anyone else at first. Too me a while, but I really like them all. The game versions are closer to the original comic books if anything.
