Hunter light dark balance?
I am trying to find out if this actually does anything game play wise. The only thing i have found is that it unlocks the epic light or dark suit once you reach high enough points in the corresponding side. So is there anything else it does game play wise or is it otherwise just a morality system for the game.

Besides the suits, it unlocks new collars that have different effects. As for story effect, no idea.

I can imagine it has maybe to do with ending?

Yeah I took the neutral option the first time it popped up (and honestly the light icon seemed meaner?) and it only explained what it's supposed to do after you make that choice which was a little frustrating.

I'm up to part 3 and so far I have not seen anything other than collars and suits that balance has an effect on. There are a lot of disappointing aspects to this game, thus far. It would not surprise me that this is all that balance does. It certainly does not affect the story nor does it offer any passive bonuses (which would seem kind of obvious).

Light/Dark affects both Collar Options, and grants Left/Right hand Blade cosmetics (the light looks very good).
I've recently hit Light 200 (I use a lot of dark abilites so it took longer) and got a Steam Achievement, but that's about it.
Paragon Collar (epic) - The next Light Card is FREE. Play 5 light cards to earn this in combat

Honestly - go dark. 100% dark. The corresponding Dark Collar to the above option requires 3 dark cards to be played to double damage. Wild Strike is a must have in Hunter's deck for the sheer power behind the move and being able to double it is crazy.

Strangely enough, my Hunter deck has 2 light attacks, 2 dark, 1 light heroic, 1 dark and then 1 dark skill so realistically... the collar choices are what would sell it for me and the ability to double damage on a Wild Strike seems way better than a free Holy Burst.

you get different collars (4 balance exclusive, 2 for light and 2 for dark) for reaching higher on each scale, also you get suit at 150 power that each have a exclusive passive, a second legendary to upgrade the light/dark one at 200 power on each side of the scale.

I think that's it TBH

There are a few conversations at different parts of the game (Mostly from Strange, Caretaker and Agatha) comment on your alignment. My first run I went full light and the comments ranged from "You've really embraced your inner light" to "You don't need to neglect your darkness Hunter." I just assumed that was because of my maxed light, but I guess I won't know for sure until I get to that point again.

On my second run I'm going full Dark, and I'm really glad I don't have to worry too much about Friendship points as for a large bulk of the characters the dark choices will give you a - to friendship.

Nearly platinumed, all thats left is the max dark trophy. TBH I never cared for most of the dark abiliites, you get a powerful light based lash that dosent cost you a card (unlike dark whip), a light Heal that when upgraded draws 2 cards when overhealed, the balance collar gives you a free draw 2 just by using 3 power moves (which is easy if using quick slash to sweep enemies), the of course we have 'Call to arms' which is free when upgraded a doubles all heroism gains, which turns alot of your heavy hitters into one shot machines. Im going down the dark path because I have to for the final trophy but none of the abilities have ever motivated me to use them TBH

Any idea about the corresponding achievement? I’m at 100% light, but hasn’t popped.
