Be patient young padawan, this game unfortunately is going to bomb HARD!!!, it will be under 20 complete by next Christmas.
You dont think 40$ is too much for 4 characters and a handful of costumes? And no additional story, levels or anything of value?
That is debatable, I don't think Captain America/Iron Man constantly missing attacks against random Hydra security guards and having to reload turns because of it would be that awesome. Devs have said the same, they tried the Xcom system first and found it to not be fun & immersive at all.
Xcom characters are normal humans who become elite soldiers during the campaign, Marvel characters are legendary superhumans and godlike beings who have been already fighting all sorts of foes for years and years when the story of this game begins.
The MTX is for cosmetic items only. Season pass is indeed pricy, but it contains four new playable characters, 12 new missions with new story content and 23 premium cosmetic items. It was 10 bucks cheaper if you pre-ordered the Legendary Edition of the game too.
And do you think this value is acceptable for a game? This generation is really lost.
Play Freedom Force, its a remake of the xcom 3 engine into a superhero game. And it works, and it was reasonably priced and it was good.
just remember NUCLEAR WINTER!
I was hoping lightning could strike again, but alas.. it didnt.
It does have additional story and levels. There's multiple per DLC character.
Also, this game isn't an XCOM 2 reskin at all.
I'm scratching my head trying to figure out what you mean by this. Freedom Force (from 2002) was on an early version of Gamebryo. What do you mean XCOM 3 engine?
This game is under 10k players on release.
My prediction is as such, this game will be under 30$ for legendary by next black fridady. Wait and be patient young padawans.
Sorry meant Xcom apocolypse which I called xcom3, I thought it was the same engine as they were only a couple years apart, but yeah they switched to a different engine.
But the games are fairly similar. My point being you could make a superhero game and still keep the xcom style. This one just failed horribly because of a couple bad decisions.
