Boss have too much HP or player too low damage
Hi,

I'm in the part 2 of the game were I need to shutdown the portal, I'm level 94 with equipement higher than boss, 50 points in my higher stat related to katana (I try respec so max dammage but my build was good). But against Otoroshi (with bugger hitbox) or Demon of Envy I doing no damage.

When I break boss Ki the windows to do damge is short and boss can still hit you so I found this unfair due to low dammage. debuf on boss are also to short in duration.

Otoroshi the boss put too much Yokai realms.

I'm quite frustrated honestly and I have done Nioh 1 and 2 they where difficult boss maybe I forget.

The delta between the open world mobs and the boss are abyssal.

I like the new formula with open world mixed with mission like in the previous but I do not like what they have done with magic.

What do you think ? any similar experience ?

If it feels like the bosses have too much health you are under-geared and are probably missing out on mechanics like confusion. Eventually, once you work on these things it will seem like the bosses are much weaker.

A video may help provide more insight into what could be adjusted.

I can't say any of the bosses had too much HP or that my damage was low when I didn't want it to be or for weapons that I had become familiar with, whether Samurai, Ninja, or both.

Where Ninja has a skill that can dispel the yokai pools if need be. Or by default with Samurai. Doesn't have to be a perfect ki pulse for those.

Yep, I'm playing thru NG and found if equipment/gear is lower than region level, boss can 2 or 3 shot you and you are basically scratching away their HP :steammocking:

I find it difficult to prop Confusion in NG with purple equipment special effects - too low or weak.
Nah, bosses have the right amount of health. I don't use confusion or minmax damage builds and bosses still die too fast. In fact, had to nerf myself on NG+ by putting 30 points in every attribute and using random divine gear just to give the bosses a chance.
It depends on your build... and weapon skill of choice.

Katana Sword of Meditation is probably the most underrated/secret meme thing in Nioh 3 while in NG.

Axe/Hammer with "Bears Bane Fire", "Titanic Strength Water", "Mad Spinner Wind" can apply confusion almost at-will and you can activate hyper armor with Adamantine.

Edit: I'll also add that for whatever reason, those elemental skills in axe seems to do far more damage than elemental skills of other weapons.
