If the product does what it wants you to do then great! :) I might actually consider buying it to compare the 2. It's not like 3 euro is the end. :P
People want accesibilty and everything already done, they literally want the press of a button to get things done.
Bad marketing strategy to makes things confusing in everything, (not only software).
I get what you mean, people were more experimental and like to try every single feature till get things done and understand compltely the software.
But times changes.
And this is not the 90's anymore.
This probably doesn't help with them either, but this one has virtual keyboard and other things which might actually get me to buy this for easier access to TV. I tried using unified remote and other smart phone keyboard/mouse solutions, but they're not very comfortable to use either.
I don't think $3 is a rip-off of any sort especially that they've obviously put some thought into accessibility and its co-operation with the operating system, also that the center button is functional is a nice addition. Making free software isn't really financially sustainable.
Yeah i'm the one "attacking" lol. Spare me your sarcasm :)
You are completely missing my point.
Sure you can do everything this product has to offer elsewhere. Heck, you can even learn to code and create the software yourself.
But there is some people like me who wouldn't mind paying a small fee for having it be a integrated part of steam. With no fiddling what so ever lol.
Also very helpful when you use many pc's
And seems better for its purpose than its competitors, with nice added feature like the virtual keyboard.
I don't find xpadder hard to use. I've only used it a couple of times for mapping in Diablo 3. But it is much less user friendly than Pinnacle.

And Pinnacle even have a large database of game profiles to download.
This can be done, I just did it,
Keep in mind that F12 binds and takes the screenshot in Steam games, but also the XBOX guide popped up its not overriding the controls intended function, I don't expect it to so its probably not the best choice for the re-bind, maybe a D-pad movement instead would be a better key.
Its $3 and dose what it says Windows and program navigation. No its not a get my controller working for non controller supported games program (yet). If its improved upon by the dev to be more functional, then great!
It's $3 and Valve probably gets 30% .090$. of every sale? I bought mine with others Steam Market money selling off inventory, so its practically free for me.
It works without the Steam Client running if needed, it auto updates on Steam so I'm good with it.
If you think the program is worth more you could always buy another copy and pay more.

¿insight? don't make me laugh dude... you dont even buy the damm programm yet... wana get ¿Insight? BUY IT, TESTED BY YOUR SELF.. MAKE A REVIEW ON STEAM.. I dont know why people even bother to talk you about this... you are just a Nosy dude who thinks is right about something ... that dosent know Shihht about it...
(I'm trying to get insight on why people) LOL Yeah right.... Buy that damm programm and then talk ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Get a life dude... for real...
thanks for your help, So I still dont get, what exactly what I want to do, its play my steam games which support xbox controller, and use the guide button to take screenshoots, since that button has no funcion on steam games.
So thats exactly what I want to do
1. Learn to type if you want to be a jackass.
2. I already stated I'm considering to buy it to try it out.
3. I'm not being nosy, I've been very polite and stated I'm not trying to break the game down but wanted to know what this software offers (or what it lacks).
4. All I've done is compared it to Xpadder to provide people with information incase they are looking for the right software, I don't see how me providing information does any harm.
5. I also stated that if this software does what one want after purchase then that's great.
And finally 6.
Go ♥♥♥♥ yourself, if I bought every product just to try it out without research I'd be broke to start with and very pissed off with multiple crappy products. Now take your 12 year olds ass off this forum and go educate yourself a bit in how to have a proper discussion.
I won't be responding to you anymore so don't bother responding to me.
Ah cheers, then I won't get it for now. I only use Xpadder to play games that either have crap support for controllers or no support at all.
I'll keep track of it in case it gets updated to do just that. :) The steam page wasn't very clear on it so many thanks!
Sounds like i should buy it for myself & all my steam friends list, because f**k freeware. THIS IS STEAAAAAAAAAAAM! i shall not buy or download anything out of steam other than Microsoft software, it's part of our sacred steamcommandments.
Let me explain to you... I can pay it cause I go to college, get a job, work hard and earn money to spend it in the way I want... keep shouting to the clouds all you wanted cheap bastard...
Maybe you are angry cause it wasnt your idea xD
Controller Companion could have sold through GOG or others or just through its own web site and people would have still bought it if they saw the usefulness in it.
A gif showing some available key-bind options.
It's three dollars, or two pounds over here in britland. That's it. And it works. For me it's two pounds well spent. And even if it wasn't well spent, it's still only two pounds, no more and no less. You should all probably stop complaining about things that don't matter.
Yep or the Steam trading cards, I sold them to buy this :D
I get their concern, but its unwarranted, I usually don't jump on things like this myself, but I saw the usefulness of it, and it was really about the price point only $3.
I doubt any of these complainers have even donated as much as $3 to their favorite free alternatives, because its free, and why should they support something that is free?
I'm guilty, if I had the extra funds there are lots of things FOSS I could probably donate to Mozilla and Ad-on, Libre-Ofice, LibreKey and all that free goodness, Gimp, Paint Net, Free Linux distros. But why should I, its a RIPOFF right? lol joking
Do your own math. time v cost.
Depends how much you value your time really
