it is a very common problem with xBox and Playstation controllers..
in the last 6 months alone,
i had 3 joystick drifts that i had to open-up my controller and clean the inner parts of the joystick.. using 70% alcohol solution, Q-tips cotton buds and compressed air..
and one time i had a sticky joystick, of which the joystick would stick on one side and never return to the neutral position, in that case i used WD-40 lubricant..
just search for 'how to fix joystick drift for xBoxOne', 'xBox360' or 'Playstation' on youtube.. it is more common problem than you'd think.. if you are not satisified by the search results, you can also search for 'How to fix sticky Joystick on xBox or Playstation controller'..
this link is for drifting xBoxOne controllers

basically, if you push the joystick right or left, the joystick should return to the resting or to the neutral position when you release the joystick.. unfortunately, because of dirt and dust accumulated in the inner parts of the joystick, the joystick will never return to its neutral position.. instead, it will rest SLIGHTLY on the right side or in the left side (or up or down side).. hence, the mouse get pushed or the character takes uncontrolled turn, as described above..
in some rare cases,
the actual cause is a broken inner part of the controller; and that may require a professional repair job.. the actual replacement part is very cheap, you just need someone who is good with soldering-iron..
again, most of the time, it is a physical issue not a software issue..
the actual solution is by removing the accumulated dirt, or replacing the broken inner joystick part (if found broken).. but since cracking the controller open is to a scary idea, you can try solving the issue using software first by increasing Dead-Zone and resetting the neutral position.. again search on youtube..
however in my experience, the software fix is never enough..
It's horrible! I can't use it stably, freezes in every ten minutes. Virtual keyboard stuck in the middle of writing, mouse always goes to the side of the screen. It's extremely unstable. Is there anything I can do? I really want to use this program, I liked the keyboard too. If this continues like this I will refund it immediately because I can't stand that a program (gopher) which is free is working perfectly than the paid one.
