How to disable xinput in UWP apps?

Hello. I updated Windows 10 to 1803 version. With this update the Start menu got xinput support. When i intend to press shutdown button i always press the restart button because of giving arrow key input while using joystick mouse. The problem also occured in older versions of Windows 10 but it was limited to UWP apps only. Now the same thing is happening to core functions like Start menu, the situation just got serious.

I found a semi-solution. To shut down the computer with controller, press xbox/logitech button to open steam big picture and shut down from big picture interface. It's at least what we can do.

CC works fine the problem is with Windows. If there was a way in regedit to disable Xinput system wide. The would solve the problem

same issue on restarting. Calling it "useless" is a bit harsh though! you just need to use the keyboard to shutdown.

For a workaround, you can use one of the Start menu replacers. I use ClassicShell to get the classic Windows 7 Start menu, although I don't think it's being developed anymore. Start10 is another one I've heard of.

as i cry, i have so much games !!!!! u imagine 20 games IZ SO MUCH GAMES..

i downloaded windows 10 and reinstalled/formatted prior creator update....

oh ! i downloaded "StopUpdates10",

ps: my digital audio workstation works on linux, but got only here fifa lol !

It's not a bug, but rather a poorly thought-out feature that can't be disabled.

Well one other remapper (not sure if I can name it here) already have this feature. It alows to fully unbind controller keys before remmaping them to something else like mouse. So its doable. Atm using it as it have no problems in UWP apps and start menu etc. Just hope CC will get an update soon really liked it

This seems to have been resolved with the latest Win10 update.

Yes. This was after a Windows update. Version info shows:
Windows 10 pro
10.0.17134 Build 17134
