fat grub?

I went to visit the grub guy after the update and he's really fat (you can bounce off of him) sounds like he ate all the little grubs.. not sure what to do? There's two areas above him that you can land on but there's no way up

Oh ok thank you, I just don't remember him being like that when I finished that area.. I remember them all being inside the little houses popping out and being all happy lol
