Defeating Hollow Knight = Finish The Game ?

Guys, finally i defeat the Hollow knight after a really hard fight. And after the fight suddenly i become a vessel and the credit screen start. I shock, did that mean the end of the game ? But my completion is still 73%, and i want to achieve that 112% completion and explore this world more.

So did i need to start over a new save file to get the 112% completion achievement or can i do that in my current save game ?

Really enjoy every minute i spent in this beautiful world.

Yes, that is the ending of the game. There are 4 more endings you can get (though 2 are just variations on other endings), just load up your save again and you can keep going towards them from there just fine.

If you boot up your save, you will be spawned at the bench inside the black egg temple and the game will put you as if you haven't beaten the Hollow Knight. You can go out and try to explore more things and see if your completion percent goes up, and return again if you feel you can unlock the other endings.
