You don't exactly need to go to the garden at this point in the game, so you'd be better off facing the Dung Defender to get access to Isma's Tear. He's one of the easier bosses in the game, so it's definitely doable. I personally find the garden to be an area to be visited late game.
But yeah, the Garden is definitely one of the more difficult areas in the game. I second it as something you should save for near the end.
That's the one. It's similar to how you can super dash to get into fog canyon from the crossroads. Still really difficult as the ledge for the one at the gardens is a lot smaller.
Maybe you're talking about a different one, but I find dashing under the thorn plan surprisingly easy, and I don't have Isma's tear. I still can't find any ledge to get to the Queen's Gardens, though.
